Postnuptial Agreements

A “Postnuptial Agreement” is an agreement entered into during marriage which can effect rights to community property and alimony in the event of a divorce or separation of the parties. The Postnuptial Agreement is normally notarized. The validity of a Postnuptial Agreement is determined under the  California Family Code.
